I don’t watch or follow every celeb on Twitter and I’m not a celeb watcher in general. But I do have my list of star Tweeters. In fact what I’ve found interesting is many of my favorite famous Tweeple are not necessarily anyone I pay a lot of attention to as to their movies, music, careers, etc. A few even have opposing views to my own. Most I could not tell you anything about on a career level, but I simply like what they have to tweet! In addition, unlike many stars on Twitter who use the service for updating and highlighting their recent releases, etc, the majority of these particular celebs have demonstrated a great deal of appreciation for their fanbase, … and interact and engage in discussions with others and are all around pretty cool people in my book. Below are just a few of my favorite star Tweeters, and why you should be following them too!

Ashton Kutcher
Demi Moore
These 2 are I believe the reason so many celebs ended up on Twitter. They’re fun to follow and do a lot of good with their networking.

Lindsay Lohan
Despite the constant rumors she contends with, Lindsay appears very down to earth and relates openly and well with her followers.

Samantha Ronson
Simply a very cool person to follow.

Nicky Hilton
Paris Hilton
Nicky interacts with fans and while Paris doesn’t, she does follow all fan Twitters.

John Cusack
I admit, my one and only Tweet crush. I could care less if he’s a celebrity/actor or not. If you’re not following Mr Shockozulu, you haven’t begun to experience Twitter!

Miley Cyrus

Humble, good hearted person who spent 3 hours on Twitter with her young fans giving them self esteem advice and enjoy all around girl talk. Love her. And I’m adding her dad in here too as it’s very obvious this is a very loving normal “celeb” family. He was so upset one day that somebody was faking him that he jumped out of bed barely awake and took a camera photo to send to Twitter for verification, outraged that anyone would mislead (and mistreat apparently) his fans. Thumbs up Daddy Cyrus.

Perez Hilton
The name alone exudes controversy. I rarely agree with what he has to say (or how he says it much of the time) and yet I read it anyway. I don’t think Perez is evil as many do. I think the guy has a heart somewhere in there somewhere and regardless of your views, he’s an entertaining dude to follow.

Kirstie Alley
I think she could be named the new celeb Queen of Twitter. She tweets in caps most of the time, doesn’t hesitate to argue and debate using colorful language and yet even runs contests sometimes to have fun with her fans and followers. Definitely an interesting tweep!

Jordin Sparks
This American Idol past winner is simply a lovely person and it shows in her tweets.

John Mayer
I’ve only recently started following Mr Mayer. He’s another one with strong views and never afraid to speak them.

Elizabeth Taylor
What can I say? She’s fricking Elizabeth Taylor. Follow a true legend on Twitter.

Sarah Silverman
Her comedy is too over the top for me but I do find her tweets interesting.

MC Hammer
Interacts with fans and follows BACK. He too was a part of the original celeb Twitter crowd.

Smokey Robinson
Another legend on Twitter, this time in music. Smokey also follows back and I love to read his gracious tweets.

P Diddy
Another big Tweeter from Twitters early days. FUN guy, you can’t go wrong following him.

Boy George
If you loved Boy George back in the day (as I did), you’ll love him on Twitter. Very humorous, not always appropriate but always entertaining!

Soleil Moon Frye
I’ve recently started following Soleil. She’s another in the crowd of celebs who seems to love the “human experience” of Twitter.

Spencer Pratt
I admit I hardly know a thing about the guy, except he’s known as satan, now follows Christ with wife Holly Montag, and WOW did he ever kick Perez Hilton’s verbal behind last week!

Adrianne Curry
Very raw, seemingly very open and honest about what’s going on in her life and how she perceives the world. Another interesting follow.

Marlee Matlin
Very good friends with Kirstie. It’s fun to watch them exchange tweets.

Blake Shelton
I can’t say I’ve ever heard a Blake Shelton song but his tweets are a HOOT!

Melissa Gilbert
This Little House on the Prairie alumn is a very regular tweeter, very opinionated and has a lot of interesting things to say and share.

Sara Gilbert
Melissa’s sister updates regularly as to the goings on in her family life and is always fun to catch up with.

Alyssa Milano
Quite possibly one of the most gracious celebs on Twitter. Loves baseball! But also loves to get into deep discussion as to her views. One of my favorites for sure.

Joel Madden
Good Charlotte member tweets about his career and home life with wife Nicole Richie.

Katy Perry
This female music artist definitely has her own unique style, not just in music and fashion, but tweeting. Fun to follow.

Markus Molinari
Not necessarily a celeb but Katy’s adorable BFF and who runs his own successful blog. Thumbs up!

Dave Navarro
Of Red Hot Chili Peppers fame. Gracious to his fans and shares a lot of his daily life.

Mary J Blige
Female recording artist who is also very generous of her time with her followers on Twitter.

Rose McGowan
TV and film actress who entertains many with her witty tweets.

Pink
Just as funky as her music is, so are is her tweeting style. You won’t be bored following this rocker chick!

William Shatner
Just follow him. You won’t regret. Highly recommended!

Paula Abdul
Very high energy, spreads the love and appreciation and comes off as just a very nice person.

John Legend
This awesome music artist tweets about his tour, his passionate political views and engages regularly with the Twitter community.

Chris Daughtry
This former AI winner turned bonafide mainstream rock artist tweets very enthusiastically about his daily life, allowing his followers to share with him.

Kevin Spacey
His bio line alone is enough reason to follow. “Former shoe salesman now making a go at film and theater. Wish me luck…” – with a man in space as his Twitter background. Witty guy!

Justin Timberlake
He recently started running video contests with his followers, showcased on his Robo.to social networking site and loves to tweet about music and fashion. Fun follow, fun guy.

Tyra Banks
Fairly new to Twitter, she’s catching up quick with sharing recipes, funny quips and talk about America’s Next Top Model.

John Stamos
Full House alumn. One word: Delightful! Follow him for a good time.

Dave Coulier
Full House alumn. Exchanges tweets with the other cast members. Just as funny on Twitter than FH. Awesome follow.

Candace Cameron Bure
Full House alumn. Loves to tweet about her Christian faith, her family life and catch up with friends and fans. (Her brother Kirk Cameron, per Candace, is not on Twitter).

Bob Saget
