Being a still fairly recent hypnotherapy student, I’m very new to NLP but find it so far to be unbelievably fascinating. The things we say, how we say it, our body language … These are things we take for granted and don’t even think about usually. Even if you have no interest in hypnosis, I urge anybody and everybody to learn about NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming. Whether it be to just communicate more effectively to those around you, or to resolve conflicts in how you handle those you work with or deal with on a regular basis, or even if you just want to gain a better understanding of human beings on the whole, I HIGHLY encourage you to study the basics. It can only improve your life! I’ll be posting more as I myself learn.
My older daughter, now 18 (cries), was only 8 years old when I started out on the web. She’s had many interests throughout her growing up years. She’s a wonderfully talented photographer and an amazing writer. Writing was my dream from that age through much of adulthood, up until I discovered design. I recently got my certification from the AHA in EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique. It was a fascinating study, based on the theory that our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pain, disease and anxiety. It subscribes to the belief that all negative emotions are a disruption in our body’s energy system. I’ve studied it, researched it and will be applying this technique to myself and my own set of emotions. It’s a known fact that stress is a killer, and we manifest it in so many countless ways within our bodies. (more…)

I recently read a brilliant quote by Thomas Edison. He was asked how it had felt to fail 700 times in his discovering electricity. He said “I didn’t fail 700 times, I succeeded in proving that those 700 ways won’t work.” … I don’t plan on inventing or discovering any natural phenomena or anything but I can really relate to the dude and how he felt. In all my problems, I’ve never stopped doing or trying, seeking out ways to solve my problems. None of them have worked, so it comes down the point of, wow maybe it’s me? (more…)
